Preparedness is not about what you have or what you know, it’s knowing what you do not have and do not know and overcoming these obstacles before it matters. The veneer of society is paper thin. All it takes is the right situation to need the knowledge, skills, and abilities that you intended to develop or have let lapse. Despite overwhelming evidence to reduce risk, there are still people with a high tolerance and strong appetite for it. The emphasis of this class is on preparedness and improving your ability to decrease impacts and improve outcomes for many of the situations that you could face.
Come and learn how to:
• Establish Your Risk Profile
• Identify Pre-Incident Indicators
• Plan for Undesirable Events
• Select Required Resources
• Set Control Measures
Subject areas include:
• Core Plans
• Evacuations and Reunification
